YOU MUST GO ON, I CAN'T GO ON,
I WILL GO ON
this is my degree project, made during my final term at ERACOM.
the theme that was given to us was "fallen angels". i decided to explore the downward spiral of a person dealing with depression, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder, based on my personal experiences with these disorders and illnesses.
this "fall" is documented in a bold, assertive newspaper, and takes shape directly within the structure of the paper itself which gradually becomes more and more chaotic.
the title is a quote from samuel beckett's unnamable.
some recurring elements in this newspaper aside from the black/red colour scheme, is repetition itself. it's a way of illustrating intrusive thoughts and OCD-related behaviour.
at times sarcastic and leaning into the absurd (and the odd internet meme reference), this newspaper blends graphic design, hand-lettering and illustrations.
